Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to provide a trailer? If you already own a suitable trailer, that’s great. If not, we can provide or source one compatible with your vessel.

Will I need permits? For most small to mid-size boats, no special permits are required in local moves. However, oversized loads (over ~12 ft width, or high height) may require state oversize permits or escorts. We’ll advise you in your quote.

How should I prep my boat?Key items include securing all loose gear, draining or lightening fuel/water, removing or locking down antennas or electronics, and ensuring battery is disconnected. We’ll send you a detailed prep checklist.

When is the best time to move?Off-season (fall, spring) tends to be less congested and more cost-effective. Summer weekends and holidays may carry higher demand and premiums.

Is the boat insured during transport? Yes, we carry full transit insurance and we can also coordinate with your existing marine insurance for added coverage.
